SEO Help The Book

SEO Help The BookEvery webmaster and every website owner wants the same thing: to see their website on Google’s first page and to keep it there. Usually, in the process, one of two things happen (and sometimes, in the worst cases, both things happen). First, the webmaster on a budget will try and save money by learning some of the necessary SEO things they need to do themselves.

They will research some stuff online, they will trawl websites and they will ask questions at forums where they will also read a great many forum postings. The net sum of most of this is that they will get confused, get the wrong SEO information and, mostly, learn things which I would advise against. The reason this happens is that forum postings and most free website information is either out of date or simply wrong. Expert search engine optimizers have very little time to write free posts of real value. As a result most of the stuff we do write tends to be either link bait or search engine bot bait – great for our websites but not so great for what you want.

Forums could provide a better hunting ground for the website owner looking for some info but the same restriction on search engine optimizers’ time applies. I know from myself that although I tried a couple of times to join forums and genuinely guide those who were asking questions there, the demands made on my time by paid-for work and the need to carry out research and stay abreast of SEO trends made me abandon it. As a result 99% of those who post in forums and exchange advice are as blind when it comes to SEO as you are and although they mean well they tend to misinform.

It takes a little time for frustration and bad SEO results to sink in and then most webmasters will go to the next step: hiring somebody. Because money is an issue (which is what led to them trying the go-it-alone route in the first place) they tend to go for the lowest price which means they either get charlatans who will take their money for a few hand-submissions to search engines, or will get new search engine optimizers who are themselves learning.

Again the results here are predictable: they will spend money and time (waiting for results) and still not succeed in getting their websites where they need them to be in terms of online search engine performance, which also means that their cashflow problem will be getting worse and worse.

Some of these webmasters go out of business (and emerge sometime later with more experience and bigger budgets) and some get lucky and find guys like me who have actually put real knowledge and real expertise in accessible books available as downloads or paper copies.

SEO Help: 20 steps to get your website to Google’s #1 page is exactly the kind of information you need to help you optimize your website and get it on Google’s First page. In the process you will also see it performing incredibly well on Yahoo! and BING. Unlike most SEO books I have, here, dispensed with theory. If it’s SEO theory you are interested in that can easily be found online for FREE.

What I have given you instead is a step-by-step, practical process which will help you optimize your site no matter what stage it is at. Whether you are an established webmaster or a relative newcomer to the online world I have put in information which will help you do something differently and do it better in order to help your website climb organically the search engine results pages (SERPs).

The approach I have taken here is exactly as if you were standing next to me, looking over my shoulder as I explained what I did to help your website perform better. The twenty, accessible, step-by-step chapters cover:

1. Google Analytics
2. Keywords
3. Creating Content
4. Search Engine Submission
5. Get your website indexed fast
6. Search Engine Check
7. Inbound Linking Strategy
8. Outbound Linking Strategy
9. Two SEO Mistakes that may be killing your site
10.Check on your competitors
11. Create the perfect Press Release to market your website online
12. Six reasons why your site may drop in rank (and what to do about it)
13. How to use your Blog to attract search engine attention and more traffic
14. How to check search engine saturation
15. SEO Toolbars
16. Dance with Google
17. Facebook marketing
18. The marketing power of Twitter
19. SEO or PPC and how to decide
20. Alexa Rankings and how to improve them

Provided you follow the advice in each one to the letter I can guarantee that your website will start to outperform your competitors’.

The online world is a competitive place. It requires both deep pockets and nerves of steel in order to get where you want. I cannot do anything to help you with your nerve, that’s what you bring to the table. But if you have a website (or even a great idea for one) and are serious about making it perform best, I can at least save you some money (and probably a great deal of wasted time and effort).
